Appraiser Grunt Property Browser (print topic)

The Property Browser lets you collect and see the data in your MasterDat.CSV file and files from other members of UADNet.com that you affiliate with. You can view, export, print, and analyze your data using the browser.

The data in your MasterDat.CSV file is copied from your appraisal report XML files automatically in the background (by Grunt Extract) when Appraiser Grunt starts.

Note: You may not see any sales data the first time Appraiser Grunt opens... It may not be finished collecting it from your appraisal files. If this happens, wait a few moments and restart AppraiserGrunt.

Address Lookup, and City, State

Quick Find a sale by its Location: Type the address in the Address Lookup box, or the city or state in the City, State box. Grunt filters the sales immediately when you hit the Enter or Tab key. The sales shown will include the strings found in these boxes

The number of records / sales found is shown in the bottom left corner of the screen. (shown here as 17 records)

Arrange the grid in Table view. This is the convention used by most (all?) database tables and other programs. Table view has one record per row, and one field per column. If pictures are showing, they will appear to the left of the row.

Arrange the table in Grid view. This is the way sales are arranged in your appraisal reports with one record per column, and one field per row. If pictures are showing, they will appear above the column. Grid view aids comparison of property characteristics on a line by line basis, and is therefore the default view. NOTE: Some spreadsheet programs have limitations on the number of columns they can process but can handle thousands of rows. When exporting a table with many records, you may be prompted about this limitation so you can determine which orientation you want your file saved in.

Display photographs. Available photographs are displayed over or next to each sale summary, depending on the view.

Click a photo to open a picture in the Image viewer. The Image viewer lets you zoom in, copy it, or save it to a file by Right-clicking the picture, or resizing the window.
